DEADLINE FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST EXTENDED
We now have instructions to advise applicants that £10,000 of Eastbourne Borough Council ‘Match Funding’ is to be offered to the successful tenant for the Green Street/ Albert Parade Former Public Conveniences Building.
In light of this new information, the deadline for ‘EoI’ submissions is being increased from 31/07/2025 to a new deadline of 5pm on Friday 15th August 2025.
This EBC £10,000 ‘Match Funding’ will be released to the successful bidder after Completion of formally executed documentation including a Business Tenancy Agreement, Grant Agreement and a Licence for Works, which will be prepared by the Council’s Legal Department.
This ‘Match Funding’ is capped at a maximum EBC contribution of £10,000 and to access the full amount, the new tenant will need to put in £10k of their own funds or a pro-rata amount up to the £10k ‘cap’.
The Grant Agreement will set out on the conditions on which the money can be drawn down, which will include:
- The EBC money is only available for capital improvement and refurbishment works to the Green Street building (it is not available to fund day to day running costs / salary costs / furniture / stock etc).
- The mechanism for the Tenant to draw-down the money against an approved list of costed refurbishment works.
